The Heralds of the Gospel were sought by the SBT and, for more than an hour, answered the questions raised by trainee reporter John Silva. The interview was held in the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, in Caieiras, São Paulo, and was attended by Revmo. Pe. Alex Barbosa de Brito, member of the Virgo Flos Carmeli Clerical Society of Apostolic Life, and several members of the Women's Sector of the Heralds of the Gospel, as well as families and co-workers of the Association.

The reporter questioned Fr. Alex on what a visit by the Public Prosecutor's Office to the Heralds means, if there had been any, and whether there was any possible notification from the Public Prosecutor's Office in this regard.

Summary

The Ep. Alex Barbosa de Brito replied:

"They came here and we are open to as many visits as you want to make. I say again that prosecutors are not proof of crime, it is an investigation."

He also alluded to the famous case of base school, closed by slander scattered throughout the media and the malpractice of the judges involved in the case.
