The Heralds of the Gospel were sought by the SBT and, for more than an hour, answered the questions raised by trainee reporter John Silva. The interview was held in the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, in Caieiras, São Paulo, and was attended by Revmo. Pe. Alex Barbosa de Brito, member of the Virgo Flos Carmeli Clerical Society of Apostolic Life, and several members of the Women's Sector of the Heralds of the Gospel, as well as families and co-workers of the Association.
The SBT interviewer wanted to know what the Heralds Association of the Gospel expects at the end of this whole process of investigation and investigation of the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Civil Police.
Watch the answer in full:
The Ep. Alex Barbosa de Brito said there were two entities affected by the processes: one collective and another individual. Specified:
"The collective is being the subject of defamation: the Institution; the individual, of slander: there are several (…) Even some parents feel affected by this…"
Once these charges are further proven, each will be free to seek for justice to be restored:
"The hope we have is that the truth will reach many more places where the lie tried to get to"
And he added:
"What is there is is a campaign of religious defamation, of religious intolerance; and the Heralds of the Gospel institution is being the victim of this persecution. We believe that more day, less day this will disappear."
